Our History

Gordon Charles Arnold (right) started in the hearing aid industry in 1936 working for Allen & Hanburys service department. Gordon served in the R.E and R.O.A.C between August 1939 and January 1946.

In 1948 Gordon formed his own dispensing service, his duties involved covering Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire regions, dispensing what was then groundbreaking new technology.

In the 50’s Gordon opened Lincoln’s first fully equipped hearing healthcare centre in Portland Street.

Gordon went on to establish centres in neighbouring Grimsby, Grantham and Scunthorpe. Gordon’s son, Ian Arnold, followed his father's footsteps in 1986. Ian was born in the sixties in the family home on Bunkers Hill, Lincoln. (A stone’s throw from our centre at Cabourne Court).

Today the organisation is still a local, family managed hearing service.
